Membrane Switch Technology & Multi-Material Graphic Overlays

  • Full membrane switch capabilities: Printed circuits by silver & carbon conductive inks on polyester, with dielectric inks for insulation, jumpers and crossovers, and physical protection.
  • Digital or screen back-printed plastic film graphic overlays & custom silicone rubber molded overlays.
  • Embossing of various types, to include pillow (otherwise known as plateau or full), rim (or rail), dome, etc.
  • Selective texturing

Flex Circuit (FPC): Etched Copper Circuits on Polyimide

  • Turnkey/value added assembly – i.e. FPC to PCB assembly, overlay and keypad assemblies to metal or plastic bezels.

In Mold Design (IMD)

  • Complete graphic capability through In-Mold Design using PET/PC blend films.
  • Rigid plastic injected molded to the contours of the 3D formed graphics.
  • 3D formed graphics and injection-molded plastics are permanently thermo-bonded together
  • Turnkey/value added assembly – i.e. IMD cover for silicone keypad with membrane switch, FPC/Rigid-Flex or PCB.

 

Capacitive Touch/Sensing Technology

  • No mechanical switch fatigue with reliable & durable design capabilities.
  • Capacitive Sensing can be made with flexible or rigid materials – i.e. Polyester Circuits, FPC (Polyimide) or PCB.
  • Capacitive Sensing Signal can be transmitted through substrate materials up to 1” thick.
  • Infrared Sensing can be easily combined with Capacitive Switching for multi-function user interface designs.
  • Easily implemented into value-added/turnkey assemblies.

Plastic Capabilities

  • Injected molded plastics support for enclosures, bezels and other value added/turnkey assemblies.
